Job Description
Hinicio, a leading sustainable energy and hydrogen company, is seeking a highly motivated final-year master’s student in engineering, business, or a related field. This internship opportunity is based in Rotterdam and offers a chance to be part of Hinicio’s dynamic consultant team. As an intern, you will actively contribute to various projects, which will involve performing tasks such as:
- Conducting comprehensive quantitative and qualitative market research.
- Utilizing your skills in techno-economic modeling to analyze and optimize (renewable) energy systems.
- Evaluating and comparing different technical solutions through benchmarking exercises.
- Analyzing energy policies and regulations to provide valuable insights.
- Crafting client presentations and reports to effectively communicate findings.

Desired skills & expertise
- Master’s degree from a top university in engineering, business, or a related field, providing you with a strong academic foundation.
- Renewable Energy Knowledge: understanding of renewable energy technologies and current trends in the industry and ability to showcase your passion for driving positive change in this industry.
- Business Acumen: understanding business principles and basic strategic concepts relevant to the renewable energy sector. Strong interest or experience in conducting market research to support strategic decision-making.

- Energy Systems and Infrastructure: familiarity with energy systems and infrastructure, including an understanding of grid integration, power generation, and distribution networks.
- Renewable Energies: knowledge of renewable energy technologies, such as solar, wind, hydro, or geothermal, and their applications in the energy sector.
- Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technologies: understanding of hydrogen production, storage, and utilization, as well as fuel cell technologies and their role in the transition to a sustainable energy system.
- Alternative Fuels for Mobility: awareness of alternative fuels and technologies for transportation, including electric vehicles (EVs), biofuels, and advanced propulsion systems.
- Innovation Management: experience or interest in innovation management, including developing and implementing new technologies and business models in the energy sector.
- Public and Private Project Financing: familiarity with project financing mechanisms, including public funding schemes, private investments, and financial modeling for energy projects.
- Proficiency in languages such as French, Dutch, Spanish, German, or Mandarin would be advantageous, but it is not a mandatory requirement for the position.
