Jorge Luis Hinojosa

Senior Consultant

Jorge Luis Hinojosa is an energy and sustainability professional and consultant specialized in energy innovation and green hydrogen. As an entrepreneur, he was the co-founder and commercial director of Rennueva, a recycling technology startup that was part of the innovation agenda of Mexico City. He has experience as a consultant in innovation, international cooperation, and stakeholder management in energy transition and climate change for the Ministry of Energy of Mexico, designing instruments for the allocation of more than 120 million dollars in international energy R&D projects, and for the Stanford-USAID Mexico Clean Economy 2050 program at Stanford University. His experience in hydrogen started as a Global Solutions Developer at ENGIE Hydrogen in Paris doing market analysis, business development, and integration of proposals for European subsidies with clients in oil & gas and the chemical industry for Europe and Latin America. He currently works as a consultant for Hinicio on green hydrogen projects in Latin America. Jorge Luis studied mechanical engineering at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, has a master’s degree in renewable energy from the Institut Polytechnique de Paris. He speaks Spanish and English and has knowledge of French.
