Job Description
Hinicio is looking for a senior consultant who will take an active role in acquiring, managing, and executing consulting assignments in its new US office:
Business development:
- Contributing to the development of new business through direct cooperation with other staff and strategic partners.
- Writing proposals and developing client proposals.
Project management:
- Ensuring assignments ('projects') are delivered on time, within scope and budget, and according to client expectations.
- Coaching junior staff to build a collaborative and inclusive environment while always meeting Hinicio’s high-quality standards.
Project support and execution:
- Quantitative and qualitative research.
- Business case assessments and techno-economic modeling, and pre-feasibility studies.
- Analysis of complex (renewable) energy systems.
- Market research, and policy and regulatory analysis.
- Preparation of client meetings, reporting, and delivering presentations.
Knowledge development:
- Contributing to the development and sharing of your team’s expertise and know-how with the support of your senior colleagues.

Desired skills & expertise
Proven experience (4-6 years) in consultancy and project management in the energy sector. For example, with a top consulting firm, energy company, or innovative start-up.
A wish to contribute to the transformation of the energy system and our clients’ efforts to achieve the global climate objectives.
A team player with strong motivation to collaborate and build our practice.
A track record of successfully delivering complex projects under strict quality standards and deadlines.
A networker with a commercial mindset bringing proven business development experience.
A perfect command of English, meaning solid writing, presentation, and communication skills.
A Master’s Degree in Engineering, Physics, Innovation Science, Economics, Business, or other energy-related disciplines.
Nice to have
Previous experience with hydrogen and/or fuel cells is a plus.
Experience with managing project teams, the execution of market studies, developing business cases, and strategic consultancy assignments.
French, Spanish, and/or German are considered a plus.
