Job Description
Hinicio is a strategy consulting firm focused on sustainable energy and mobility founded in 2006. Since then, Hinicio is globally recognized as a leading consultancy in the field of hydrogen and fuel cells.
Hinicio join the Vulcain Engineering Group at the beginning of the years and integer the Vulcain information system in July. Vulcain Engineering Group is a medium-sized company with expertise in consultancy and engineering, working in the energy, environment, process industries and major infrastructure sectors.
Hinicio and Group IT department is looking for an Americas IT Operations in charge of America based in Colombia. In charge of maintaining American offices and users, the Americas IT Operations will have to deal with the group’s ongoing support requests when the European offices are closed.
The selected person will work on a hybrid basis in the city of Bogota, and will develop the following tasks:
Reporting to the Group Support Manager:
Service Continuity:
- Ensure uninterrupted IT services and systems for the Americas region.
- Implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
IT Management:
- Manage IT operations for the Americas, including hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
- Coordinate with global IT teams to align strategies and standards.
GLPI Ticket Management:
- Oversee the processing and resolution of GLPI tickets (support requests).
- Prioritize and assign tickets to appropriate team members.
Workstation Preparation:
- Coordinate the setup and configuration of workstations across the Americas.
- Ensure all workstations meet required standards and security protocols.
Inventory Management:
- Manage the inventory of information systems (IS) assets for the Americas.
- Track hardware and software assets, procurement, and distribution.
Office 365 Administration:
- Administer Office 365 services, including user accounts, email, and collaboration tools.
- Monitor and optimize Office 365 performance and security.
Active Directory Administration:
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and security within the Active Directory environment.
- Ensure proper user authentication and access controls.
SLA Compliance:
- Monitor and meet service level agreements (SLAs) for IT support and operations.
- Address any issues affecting SLA adherence.
Knowledge Base Development:
- Develop and update the knowledge base with troubleshooting guides, FAQs, and solutions.
- Promote self-help resources for users.
Vendor Management:
- Collaborate with vendors for procurement, support, and maintenance of IT equipment and services.
Security and Compliance:
- Implement and enforce IT security policies and compliance standards in the Americas.
- Ensure data protection and privacy regulations are followed.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including local and global IT teams.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration across different regions.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to enhance IT processes, efficiency, and user experience.
- Propose and implement IT infrastructure and service improvements.

Desired skills & expertise
- Minimum proven B2 level in English.
- Proficiency in another language such as French.
- Proven experience between 1-3 years.
- Good knowledge of information systems (organization, good case practices/bad case practices).
- 2 years of experience with windows system administration.
- 2 years of experience in Office 365 administration.
- Firewall Switch network device management and administration.
- Print management and administration.
- Good interpersonal, writing and speaking skills in both English and Spanish (B2/C1 level)
- Methodical, transparent and timely work dynamics.
- Accountability to the Group Support Manager in time and quality, as well as autonomous work on a daily basis.
Nice to have
- Experience with agile and lean methodologies.
