Johnny Bonk earned his MSc. in Sustainable Development from the University of Utrecht in The Netherlands where he focused on energy and materials. For his master’s thesis, he researched the environmental impacts of emerging technologies for lithium brine extraction in Chile. Prior to this, he earned his B.A in International Relations from Loyola Marymount University with a minor in philosophy. His specializations include life cycle assessment, emissions accounting, lithium, hydrogen, and its derivatives. Johnny also has experience with circular economy, remote sensing, and sustainable water resource management. He is a native English speaker from Minneapolis who loves nature, traveling and international contexts.
