Felipe Bonilla is a Geoscientist from Universidad de los Andes with over four years of experience in structuring infrastructure projects for both the public and private sectors.
He began his career at Asilea Resources, where he played a key role in pre-feasibility studies for a renewable hydrogen production plant in France and the financial assessment of two potential hydropower acquisitions in Colombia. He then joined the Financiera de Desarrollo Nacional as a Structuring and Investment Banking Analyst, contributing to the structuring of public service infrastructure, transportation, road infrastructure, and high-impact energy sector transactions. Notable projects included the legal and financial structuring of a framework to attract private capital for expanding electricity coverage in off-grid areas, the divestment of the government’s stake in ISA to Ecopetrol, and the update of Colombia’s National Intermodal Transport Master Plan. He also played a key role in research and proposals developing for private sector projects funded through tax and royalty-based investment schemes.
In mid-2022, Felipe joined Hinicio, where he has since been actively involved in renewable energy projects, focusing on zero-emission hydrogen, electric mobility, and sustainable transport. His work includes the development of market studies and technical, economic, and financial evaluations for mobility and energy projects, as well as the structuring of business models, corporate strategies, and roadmaps for high-impact projects in countries such as Colombia, Costa Rica, Uruguay, France, and the United States. Felipe possesses strong knowledge and a keen interest in implementing Project Finance as a financing mechanism for complex and innovative infrastructure projects, supported by certificate programs in Finance and Project Finance. He is fluent in German, English and Spanish.
