Chemical Engineer with a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering and Business Administration (MBA) from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (NY), Nelson possesses extensive experience in fossil and transition fuels, project development, energy storage, and ESG assessments. He has worked across various regions, including the US, the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (a total of 25 countries).
At PDVSA/CITGO, he held progressively responsible positions, culminating in Light OilsPricing Manager for Latin America. Subsequently, he spent 16 years as a consultant in Texas and New York, working with three global energy firms (including 12 years at Nexant ECA) and independently. During this time, he held roles such as Project Manager, Senior Consultant, and Principal Consultant.
Bilingual in English and Spanish, with conversational French fluency, Nelson excels in technical-economic analysis and international project leadership. In his free time, he enjoys reading, international music, and exploring diverse cultural experiences.
