Thierry Grauwels has an MSc in mechanical engineering and an MBA from the Vlerick Management School.
Before joining Hinicio, Thierry held several business and market development positions in the European energy market for Shell, Fluxys, and DESFA. With about 25 years of experience, he has a proven track record in developing and optimizing businesses in evolving regulatory and commercial environments. He evaluated several M&A opportunities, negotiated gas and LNG supply and infrastructure agreements, and developed power projects with hydrogen – Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS). He led successful advocacy efforts towards the EU institutions. More recently, his career focused on South-Eastern Europe as a board member of the Athenian gas distribution company and CFO of DESFA.
With postings in Belgium, the UK, France, Greece, and The Netherlands, he speaks fluent English and French and has knowledge of Dutch.
