Hydrogen and derivatives production from sugarcane agricultural residues in Colombia

Context

With the support of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and FENOGE, Hinicio conducted a technical, economic, financial, and environmental study on the production of hydrogen and its derivatives using sugarcane agricultural residues in Colombia.

Proyect Overview

Description

The study included the characterization of the available biomass from sugarcane as an energy source in the Valle del Cauca region, a review of the state of the art on the various existing and relevant technologies for biomass utilization, the selection and evaluation of the most appropriate value chain and geography for project development, and the steps for materialization.
