Chilean Green H2 Dissemination and Educational Plan

Context

With the support of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), Hinicio conducted an educational plan in four regions of Chile. This plan aimed to educate, raise awareness, and disseminate knowledge about renewable and low-carbon hydrogen as a clean energy carrier to various audiences, reducing information asymmetries and promoting social engagement on this topic.

Proyect Overview

Description

The plan involved developing an educational and socialization strategy tailored to different interests, perspectives, and regions for the development of renewable and low-carbon hydrogen in Chile. It included producing and designing informative graphic and audiovisual materials related to the hydrogen value chain and its opportunities and challenges. Finally, the plan featured a testing phase to evaluate the effectiveness of the educational materials with different target audiences.

Economic, social and environmental impact

The project created audiovisual content, including eight infographics and four videos, to educate on renewable and low-carbon hydrogen. Additionally, interaction with key audiences—including civil society, social organizations, state organizations, academia, and companies—was facilitated through four participatory workshops in the main regions of Chile leading the development of green hydrogen: Antofagasta, Magallanes, Valparaíso, and Biobío.
