María José Riquelme

Senior Consultant

María José is a Sociologist specializing in business development and innovation in the renewable and solar energy sector, with a notable professional background in both public and private entities. Her experience includes the design, implementation, and evaluation of research and development (R&D) projects.

She held the position of BDM (Business Development Manager) at Consorcio Tecnológico ATAMOSTEC, where she was responsible for the development of intermediate products and services, as well as the initiation of new projects. She also served as General Manager in the Chilean subsidiary of Niagara Conservation, a U.S. company focused on energy and water efficiency, where she implemented a business model aimed at maximizing energy and water savings in infrastructure.

For 10 years, she worked as a Political and Projects Officer at the British Embassy in Chile, contributing to the implementation of the bilateral agenda and the design of public policy projects and public-private partnerships in the areas of energy and climate change. Recently, she assumed roles as Industry Liaison Advisor at the University of Antofagasta and as Project Advisor for CEA-LITEN, the French Renewable Energy Center. María José speaks Spanish and English.
