Pilar Henríquez

Manager

Pilar is a Mechanical Engineer from the University of Chile and a Master’s in Innovation from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. She has more than 14 years of experience in the transport and energy sector, successfully leading electromobility, energy efficiency, sustainability, and green hydrogen projects, with a national and international scope, both in the public and private sectors.

She is manager at Hinicio Latin America, where she has led the structuring of the electromobility acceleration program, called E-motion, in Panama, Paraguay, and Uruguay, presented by CAF and awarded by the Green Climate Fund in 2022. Withing Hinicio, Pilar has supported several electromobility scaling-up projects for public and private fleets, as well as zero-emission technologies and energy supply projects for transport applications.

Before joining Hinicio, Pilar participated in the main technical-economic studies for the electric bus transition in Santiago, pilots and platform designs framed in the deployment of electromobility in Chile, both for public transport buses and taxis, public fleets, private fleets, and active mobility. She has collaborated in developing market studies and strategic consultancies around zero-emission mobility solutions within Latin America with a focus on public transport systems, including trolleys. Her work experience includes countries such as Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Paraguay, Panama, Uruguay, and the U.S.
