Description
The project’s scope and methodology included a series of workshops focused on RED II requirements and their application in the local project context, ensuring a common understanding of the compliance criteria. This involved collecting and validating data, reviewing technical hypotheses from the project developers, and applying RED II renewability requirements. The methodology also included calculating GHG emissions, assessing key sensitivities to define scenarios for submission to the auditor, and assisting an independent accredited auditor during the audit process (onboarding, facilitating discussions between the auditor and developer, etc.). Additionally, a compliance roadmap was developed to translate the pre-certification key outcomes into actionable recommendations for the developer to implement in the short, medium, and long term. Relevant gaps and open questions were listed and submitted to the European Commission through the CertifHy™ Voluntary Scheme to seek clarifications and confirmations.
